Frequently Asked Questions

Proper aftercare is crucial for the healing process and to prevent infections. For tattoos, the artist will usually cover the area with a protective film or bandage, which should be left on for a few hours. After removing the cover, the tattoo should be gently washed with mild, fragrance-free soap and water and then patted dry. A thin layer of healing ointment or lotion the artist recommends should be applied. It's important to keep the tattoo clean and moisturized and to avoid exposing it to direct sunlight, swimming, or picking at scabs. For piercings, cleaning with a saline solution is usually recommended. Avoid touching or twisting the piercing, and ensure your bedding and clothing are clean to avoid irritation or infection. Each piercing may have specific aftercare instructions depending on its location, so it’s important to follow the advice given by your piercer.
For full aftercare recommendations, check out our Aftercare page or grab an Aftercare Card from the shop.

The cost of a tattoo is entirely dependent on its detailing, size, style, and duration. Your artist will work with you on the specifics of your piece and ultimately, the tentative costs.

This is one of the most frequent questions. The level of pain experienced during a tattoo or piercing varies depending on the individual's pain threshold, the location of the tattoo or piercing, and the duration of the procedure. Tattoos generally cause discomfort, often described as a persistent scratching or burning sensation. Piercings may cause a sharp pain at the moment of piercing, followed by some soreness. It's important to know that everyone's pain tolerance is different, and what may be mildly uncomfortable for one person could be more painful for another.
